Step 2: Login Divi Dash Member Account

With your Divi Membership purchased, it’s time to login your divi dash member account. Follow these steps to access Divi Dash and link your first site:

  1. Navigate to the account tab on the main Elegant Themes website.
  2. Enter your username and password associated with your Divi account.
  3. Click the Member Login button to access your dashboard.

Now, let’s proceed to locate the Dash tab and connect your first website. Follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Dash tab in the member area, as shown in the screenshot below.
  2. Click on the Dash tab to open the dashboard.
  3. Click on the Connect Your First Site button to begin connecting your website.

This process will allow you to seamlessly integrate your site with Divi Dash for easy management.

Step 3: Link Your Websites

When the dialog box appears, you’ll need to enter the required information to link your website. Follow these steps:

  1. Enter your website’s name in URL format (e.g. yourwebsite.com).
  2. Input the WordPress login credentials for the site Username and Password.
  3. In the Auto Install & Activate Products option, select which products you would like to install.
  4. Click the Add Website button, as shown in the screenshot below.

  1. After you have entered your URL, username, and password, and clicked the Add Website button, the interface shown in the screenshot will appear. A significant advantage of Divi Dash is its support for WordPress multisite networks. It automatically detects if your WordPress installation is a multisite and allows you to include all of its subsites seamlessly.
  2. To add your network subsites to Divi Dash, simply click the Add Network Subsites button. This feature makes managing multiple sites within a network efficient and straightforward.

Next, you will need to select one or all of your subsites. This process allows you to easily integrate your chosen subsites into Divi Dash for efficient management. Follow these steps:

  1. In the interface, you will see a list of the websites you have added.
  2. Select the subsites you wish to include in Divi Dash by clicking on the corresponding checkboxes next to each site. You can choose to select all sites or a specific website based on your preference.
  3. Once you’ve made your selections, click the Add Subsites button, as shown in the image below.

Step 4: Link Your Websites Using the Divi Dash Plugin (Connection Key)

In this step, we’ll cover an alternative method for connecting your website if you encounter issues, like the one shown in the screenshot below. For highly secure websites, such as those with a firewall setup, the Divi Dash may be unable to establish a direct connection. In such cases, you can follow this secondary option. However, if your website connects successfully, feel free to skip this step.

This section explains using a connection key for linking secure websites with Divi Dash, an alternative for firewall-protected sites.

Download the Divi Dash Plugin

To connect your WordPress website to Divi Dash using the connection key, you’ll first need to download the Divi Dash Plugin. This is a simple process, and you can download it directly from the Divi Dash dashboard.

  1. Click on the Divi Dash Plugin option as shown in the screenshot below.
  2. Allow the required permissions.
  3. Choose the destination path where you’d like to save the plugin.

Upload the Divi Dash Plugin

First, open the WordPress dashboard for the website you want to connect to Divi Dash. Once inside your dashboard, you’ll need to upload the Divi Dash plugin that you previously downloaded.

  1. Click on Plugins.
  2. Select Add New Plugin.
  3. Press the Upload Plugin button and click on Choose File.
  4. Navigate to the folder where you saved the Divi Dash plugin, select it, and click Open.

Install and Activate the Divi Dash Plugin

After uploading the Divi Dash plugin, the next step is to install and activate it.

  1. Click the Install Now button.

After activating the Divi Dash plugin, you’ll need to copy the connection key, which will be pasted into the Divi Dash website management tools to complete the connection.

  1. Click on Plugins.
  2. Select Installed Plugins.
  3. Click on Divi Dash Connect, as shown in the screenshot below.
  4. A Divi Dash popup notification will open; copy the connection key from there.

Return to the Divi Dash dashboard and open the Add New Website tab. Here, you’ll use the connection key instead of a username and password to connect your website.

  1. Select Connection Key as shown in the screenshot below.
  2. Enter the URL of the website you want to add.
  3. Paste the connection key into the connection box.
  4. Click on the Add Website button.

Once your sites are added to Divi Dash, they will appear under the Website tab on the left side of the dashboard. The screenshot below illustrates how many websites you have added, which will be displayed under this tab. Additionally, any Divi sites will be listed under the Divi Site tab.

From this dashboard, you can easily identify which sites need updates. Simply click on the respective site to initiate the update process directly from Divi Dash. The interface also features a Search Bar for quick site lookups, a Tags option for organizing your websites, and a Client option for managing client-specific sites.

Step 5: Update Your Websites with Divi Dash

You can begin the update process after adding your websites to Divi Dash. The dashboard provides a dedicated section for managing updates, allowing you to easily update your websites, plugins, themes, and WordPress itself.

To update your sites, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Update as shown in the screenshot under the Website tab.
  2. Select Website to choose which site you need to update.
  3. Click on Website Update if you want to update all websites by one click. 
  4. For updating plugins, click on Plugin Updates and proceed to update the necessary plugins from this section.
  5. If your theme has an update notification, you can quickly update it by clicking on Theme Update.
  6. Lastly, if your WordPress installation requires an update, it will be listed under WordPress Update. Simply click to update with one easy action.

Additionally, the dashboard conveniently displays how many sites require updates and specifies the types of updates needed. This clarity streamlines your management process, ensuring you can keep all your websites up to date with minimal effort.

For added convenience, Divi Dash allows you to update all your sites, plugins, themes, and the WordPress core with a single click by using the Update Everything button. This feature significantly speeds up the update process and saves you valuable time.

You have the option to select an individual site for updates or simply click the Update Everything button to initiate updates across all plugins, themes, and the WordPress core simultaneously. In the case of a WordPress multisite, the Select All option is automatically activated, ensuring that all necessary updates are addressed in one go.

Step 6: Add New WordPress Users to Divi Dash

One of the remarkable features of Divi Dash is the ability to add new users to an individual WordPress site without needing to log in directly to the website. To get started, navigate to the main screen in the Divi Dash dashboard.

  1. Click on the Website tab.
  2. Click on the particular website for which you want to add a User.
  3. Scroll down and find the Add User blue color button and click on it.
  4. Provide User Name, User Email Address, Bio and Password.
  5. Click on Select Role and give  the role to your user and also add a website for which you are adding a new user.
  6. If you want that, send notification to new users so Mark tick on the drop box.
  7. Click on the Add New User button your user will add to that website.

This will take you to the website dashboard, where you can view an overview of your site, including installed themes and plugins, required updates, and more. From this dashboard, you can see how many plugins are installed, which themes and plugins are activated, and you can activate any deactivated plugins directly from Divi Dash. Step 7: Add a Client to Divi Dash

Divi Dash serves as an excellent tool for keeping your clients organized and their information easily accessible. It automatically tracks each website assigned to a client, allowing you to know which sites belong to whom. Additionally, it highlights sites that require attention, helping you maintain strong relationships with your clients. To add a new client to Divi Dash:

  1. Navigate to the Clients tab in the dashboard.
  2. Click the Add Client button.

When the dialog box appears, enter your client’s details, including their name, company, email address, and phone number. Under the Client Websites section, click the Add a Site button to bring up a list of available websites. After adding the client’s sites, complete the process by clicking the Add New Client button.

  2. Add Client Company Name.
  3. Provide Client Phone Number.
  4. Provide Client Email Address.
  5. Add Client’s Websites.
  6. Click the Add New Client button.

Once the client is added, you can view their associated sites by clicking on the client name. Additionally, you can filter the sites based on their update status. If you have a large number of clients, you can easily search for a specific client by name using the Clients Search bar.

This action takes you to a dedicated dashboard for that client, which includes their contact information, associated websites, and a text area for adding client notes. Step 8: Find Your Website’s System Status & Optimization Options

Divi Dash keeps you informed about your website by providing critical information regarding its system status. This section offers essential details about the installed versions of WordPress, PHP, and MySQL. It can also detect display errors and check if your site’s main directory folders—wp-content, wp-includes, and wp-admin—are writable. Additionally, Divi Dash provides information on various PHP parameters, such as max input time, PHP memory limit, and max upload file size, helping you identify any necessary adjustments. To easily find this information, click on a website name from the main dashboard and locate the System Status Report section within the website’s dashboard.
