How to install Divi layout
A Divi Layout is NOT a child theme nor a module. A Divi Layout is usually a json file that allows you to customize the layout of a page. The Divi Builder makes it easy to add a layout to your site. Follow these simple steps.
- If this is a layout that you purchased, it may be in a zip file. If so, you need to unzip the contents of the file before continuing.
- Import the .json file into Divi as follows. Hover over Divi in your WordPress backend menu, then click Divi Library. At the very top of the page (above the Layouts title), click the Import & Export button. The Portability popup will appear. Click the Import tab, select the .json file of the layout, and click the Import Divi Builder Layouts button.
- Almost there! The layout is now in your library. To use the layout on a page in the Divi Builder, click the Load Layout option at the top level of any page.
How do I get support or answers to questions about an item I recently purchased?
Divi Cake was the first and leading marketplace where authors of Divi add-ons sell their products. Each author is responsible for supporting their own products.

What are the license terms for a specific product?
All products on Divi Cake are sold under the standard Divi Cake license unless the product page explicitly declares otherwise. If you have questions about the license for a specific product, please use the Contact This Seller link on the product page. Only the author can answer questions about the product. If you conact us at Divi Cake, we will merely refer you to the author.
What is your refund policy?
After you’ve made a purchase, you have 24 hours to request a refund after placing an order if the product is faulty or not as described. Due to the nature of digital goods, refunds cannot be processed until it has been determined that the product is faulty or not as described. If Divi Cake does issue a refund, we will attempt to get in touch with you regarding the reason of your refund.
If a product you purchase is determined to be faulty or not as described, simply contact us within 24 hours for a full refund.
How do I contact the seller?
Have any questions or need product support? We now offer the ability to send messages to the author.
To send a message follow these instructions:
- Visit the seller’s Divi Cake Author Page. ex: divicake.com/author/codecrater/
- Click the ‘Contact’ link at the top of the page or scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Fill out the form with your message and Order Number if you need support.
- Your message will be sent to the author. Expect an email back from them as soon as they can respond.
Please be polite and professional. Spam will not be tolerated.
The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet
A common issue that can occur when installing a new WordPress theme is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” or “The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme.
Thankfully, this error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken! It simply means it hasn’t been uploaded it correctly.
Some purchases include a ZIP folder within a ZIP file. What you want to do is upload the inner (installable) ZIP file. You can verify the installable ZIP file because it will have a file inside named style.css.

- Log in to your WordPress admin area.
- Browse to Appearance > Themes.
- Click on ‘Add New’.
- Click ‘Upload’.
- Browse and select the theme ZIP file to ‘Upload’.

How do I begin selling on Divi Cake?
We love to have new authors join our marketplace. To do so, visit the Open a Shop page, carefully read the requirements, and follow the instructions to open your shop to begin selling Divi plugins, child themes, and layouts on Divi Cake.
When do I get paid?
Payouts happen on the 15th of every month unless it’s a holiday or weekend. If the 15th falls on a holiday or weekend, payouts would be made early the following week. A payout on July 15th would include all commissions from June 1st – June 30th.

How do I get paid?
Payments are processed monthly via the PayPal email address listed in your account settings. You must be able to receive money on PayPal.

Do I have to provide support for the products I sell on Divi Cake?
Ye, we require all authors offer support for your items. Offering support is a great way to build relationships with your customers and ensure repeat business. Your store page on Divi Cake has a Contact This Seller button which will send you an email with the question from the customer. You are required to provide a prompt response to such messages or risk having a refund issued.
