# Your child theme is on its way

We’ve emailed the zipped child theme to the address you entered. It usually lands within a minute.

Nothing in your inbox? Give it two minutes, then check your spam and promotions tabs. The email comes from divicake.com.

## Install it in three steps

Takes about a minute. Divi stays exactly where it is: the child theme sits on top of it.

- 1

### Download the ZIP

Open the email and save the attached .zip file. Leave it zipped: WordPress wants it that way.

- 2

### Upload it to WordPress

In your dashboard go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme and pick the file.

- 3

### Activate and go

Hit Activate. Divi stays installed as the parent theme, so your site keeps every layout and setting.

## You’ve got the files. Want us to do the rest?

Nobody generates a child theme for fun. There’s usually a real project behind it: a site to build, a feature that doesn’t exist yet, or customizations that keep breaking on update. That’s the part we do, for a fixed price agreed before any work starts.
