Now is a good time to start thinking about ways to make money online. Divi is an excellent choice because it has a large community. There are a lot of Divi developers and users that need products, services, training, and more. This means there are lots of ways to make money with Divi. In this article, we’ll look at 9 ways to make money with Divi that you can start in your spare time.

These methods are not ‘guaranteed’, but they have been tried and proven by thousands of Divi users. Your results will vary, so make sure to plan well. The 9 methods are in no particular order.

1. Create Divi Products

Divi is the most popular premium WordPress theme. Elegant Themes has close to 700,000 members and many of those members develop websites for their clients. The Divi user-base is massive and Divi users are always looking for new designs and features that they can use on their websites or on sites they build for clients.

This opens up a lot of opportunities to make Divi products and sell Divi products, such as layouts, child themes, and plugins. They can be combined to create products with unique features. For example, you can use your layouts and plugins within your child themes. There are already a lot of Divi products available, so the designs and features will need to be the highest quality possible to compete.

You can sell them as digital downloads as either a one-time purchase or as an annual subscription that includes updates and support. Sell them from a marketplace, such as Divi Cake, or your website. For more information about selling products through Divi Cake, see the Divi Cake Sell page.

2. Develop Courses

Online courses are popular. It’s possible to add courses to your Divi website and teach others the skills that you’ve developed. Teach about WordPress, Divi, programming, WooCommerce, building an email list, running webinars, graphic design, business, crafting, writing, art, music, and lots more.

Divi works great with course creation platforms such as LifterLMS. This makes it easy to integrate courses into your Divi website or build a course website from the ground up. You can also host the courses on other platforms such as Teachable, Udemy, Skillshare, and many others. There are several course layouts and child themes available in the Divi Cake shop to get you started.

3. Monetize Your Blog

There are several ways to make money with a blog. Make money with affiliates, ads, sponsored posts, selling products and services, and more. The downside is you have to get your blog popular first. This can take a lot of time and effort but it can result in a steady passive income. You’ll need a strong call to action and you’ll need to build an audience and an email list.

Affiliate marketing is perhaps the most popular way to make money online. The premise is simple. Create valuable content that includes information about products and include an affiliate link. When someone uses your link to purchase the product you get a portion of the sale. Content can include lists of products, tutorials, reviews, etc.

Elegant Themes and many online Divi shops have affiliate programs. You can also include hosting, development tools, etc. Just search for affiliate programs for the types of products you want to promote. For information about Divi Cake’s affiliate program, visit the Affiliate page.

Ads can either be affiliate links, pay-per-view, a monthly fee, or pay-per-click. The goal of affiliate and click ads is to get someone to leave your site and follow through the call to action of the ads. The pay-per-view model pays according to the number of impressions. The monthly fee model is when someone pays to rent ad space on your website. They can bring in money, but they’re often ignored. To get around this, some are designed to blend with your content.

Sponsored posts are when someone pays you to publish their article on your website or pays you to write about them or their products.

4. Create a YouTube Channel or Podcast

You can also create the same type of content as you would for a blog for a YouTube channel or a podcast. Review products, offer deals, promote sales, etc. You can even have guests to interview. Include special deals so your viewers can get discounts by using your affiliate codes. You can also get companies to sponsor your videos and episodes.

5. Create an Online Store

Divi works great with WooCommerce and other eCommerce platforms. Create an online store and sell physical products, digital products, dropship, and more. You can sell products that you create, have products produced for you, purchase products from distributors, second-hand shops, etc.

Products can be anything including e-books, tee shirts, paintings, Divi layouts, and more. Digital products are especially good choices because you don’t have to restock your inventory or ship anything.

The Divi Builder includes several modules to build WooCommerce Product pages, so you can create designs and layouts. There are also many Divi child themes, layouts, and plugins that are designed for WooCommerce. You’ll find several in the Divi Cake shop.

6. Build Websites for Clients

Lots of companies need new websites and just as many companies need their old websites rebuilt. You’ll need to design the site based on the clients’ needs, determining the features they need, choose the right tools, and build the site. You could convert this into an ongoing income stream by offering maintenance, hosting, etc.

Divi speeds up the website building process and there are many child themes, layouts, and plugins available to help you build just about any website. Even if you want to design the site from scratch, Divi makes it easier with its drag-and-drop builder. You can build with or without code.

7. Create a Membership Site

A membership site is a website that people pay a monthly fee to access the content. Membership sites usually include a social network area, tutorials, files to download such as code and layouts, etc. There are several platforms, such as add-ons for WooCommerce LifterLMS, etc., that provide tools to build the membership site with Divi. Membership areas can also be added to your current website.

8. Freelancing

Freelancing is a great way to make money using the skills you already have. Many companies need work that can be done remotely, but they don’t want to hire full-time workers for that work. Freelancers can do this work for them as a temporary job, or even as ongoing work. This is probably the fastest way to make money with Divi.

The types of work include consulting, web design, code creation, content creation (I fall into this category), tutoring, maintenance, and more. You’ll need to have a body of work (portfolio) you can show and then start pitching to potential clients. There are lots of platforms online that help in finding work. Some are much better than others, so you’ll need to do some research on each platform.

Freelancing can be part-time or full-time work and you can work for as many or as few clients as you want. There are risks involved because work is not guaranteed, but freelancing also provides a level of freedom that you can’t get any other way.

9. Sell Websites

Another way to make money with Divi is to sell websites. There are two main approaches: build the site from scratch or acquire a site from someone else.

If you build the site yourself you’ll need to choose a good domain name, set up WordPress, and pitch the site to your target audience. This one gives buyers a chance to start a website that doesn’t have an established history but is already set up and ready to go. To make it even more valuable you can build the audience, email list, and add content.

If you acquire an already established website you’ll need to improve the site’s design and features, build the audience, and solve any issues with the website and audience before putting the site up for sale.

Ending Thoughts

That’s our look at 9 ways to make money with Divi . None of these methods are fast. It will take time to create products, build an audience, etc. For affiliate sales, it can take a few months to receive the money. However, they will make money. Many of these methods can be combined to build an even stronger income.

Some don’t require a lot of investment, but you’ll need to know what you’re getting into before starting. Most have low overhead and can be started small, or even as a side hustle. All of them are scalable, but they scale in different ways. None are a get rich quick solution as it can take time to see a return on your investment. All of them can give you a starting point of owning your own online business.

In future articles, we’ll look closer at each of them in greater detail and see what skills you need to make money with Divi.

This is all easier said than done. The field is saturated. And finding a niche, good luck with that. The small guy a zero to no chance. This is all good in theory, but put it into practice, forget it
